Consider this first before booking your next portrait session

When you’re getting ready to book your next portrait session one thing that you need to take into consideration is HOW you want to use your images. Moms spend hours planning their portrait session, choosing the photographer, buying and returning dresses, getting hair and make up done, and then after the session, what do they do with their images?

Do you want to post your images once or twice to social media and let them sit on your hard drive? Or do you want to display them on the walls of your home so that you can look at them every day as you walk down the hall? Or are you a sentimental mama who dreams of a beautiful luxe linen heirloom album to grace your coffee table and then pass on to your children?

Knowing what you want to do with your images will guide the entire process. Consider the outcome. Most photographers deliver a gallery of images for you to do what you want with your images. You may or may not print some 4×6 images or at worst leave them on your hard drive with the intention that you’ll print them and hang them on your walls one day.

When you work with us we take walk you through the whole process and create a luxurious experience from start to finish. We start with a wardrobe and portrait planning appointment where we choose wardrobe and discuss how you’d like to use your images. Your session day begins with professional hair and make up that we schedule for you. After your images are ready we’ll have an ordering appointment for you to choose your favorite images and we will take care of the design and ordering process so that your images are ready for you to display in your home!

1. Heirloom Albums

Heirloom albums are a classic way to display your images and will last a lifetime so that you can pass them down to your children. Store these on your coffee table and enjoy them day after day. Browse through these with your children and remember the sweet memories you made while these photos were taken.

2. Gallery Walls

After all of the time and money spent taking your family photos, you deserve to enjoy looking at them every single day. Choose a gallery wall of your favorite images and walk by them every day. You can choose to do a gallery wall that grows with your family adding to it each time you have a portrait session or you can do new gallery walls throughout your home each year.

3. Matted Prints

Matted Prints are perfect if you’re indecisive and want to change out your photos in your frames on a regular basis. These come in a gorgeous heirloom linen box that you can leave on your coffee table for storage. You can keep them in the box and browse through them, or put them in frames on your wall to enjoy all day long.

4. Digital Images

Digital images are wonderful because you can take them everywhere with you and are easy to share with others. Digital images are a great addition to printed artwork because of their flexibility to view and share on multiple platforms.
